💨 What’s happening: GAIB, an AI infrastructure investment company, announced the launch of AID Alpha on the Sei network.
💨 Why it matters: Unlike stablecoins pegged to cash, AID’s synthetic dollar tracks the value of AI computing power, like GPUs used in AI apps.
There is high demand for GPU infrastructure globally because of the graphic chips used in AI applications like chatbots and machine learning models. With the release of AID Alpha, GAIB can make AI computing assets more accessible as a financial asset. In turn, it allows investors to earn yields, fueled by the growing AI economy. By holding AID Alpha, one is exposed to GPUs in an investment context. So, if prices for GPUs increase, so does a holder’s return on investment.
AID Alpha, currently in a liquidity-bootstrapping phase called “The Spice Harvest,” lets users deposit stablecoins like USDT to earn rewards. This lays out the foundation needed for AID’s full rollout as a stakeable asset.
With global demand for AI compute skyrocketing, it may outpace traditional financing routes. However, with AID, users can invest in this sector, creating more access points for AI investment vehicles.
💨 The bigger picture: Sei’s design as a high-performance blockchain – tailored for trading, DeFi and apps like decentralized exchanges or gaming platforms – makes it an ideal environment for synthetic dollars. Since Sei can handle thousands of transactions per second with fast confirmation times, GAIB ensures AID operates smoothly in a trading-optimized environment.
This could pave the way for new AI-powered apps on Sei, making the network an attractive place for developers to create financial products tied to real-world technology.
